Grab your sunscreen and beach tote! At Camp Riverwood Mystery Island, prepare to be thrilled from the top of your sun-drenched head to the tip of your sandy toes as we explore an intriguing and mysterious tropical paradise while tracking down the one true God.
Team-building games, hands on experiments, interactive Bible lessons, and tasty treats are just a few of the island adventures awaiting you.

Volunteer Details
- Volunteers must be believers who attend Riverwood and are in 7th grade or older. If you do not attend Riverwood, we would love for you to join us in praying for God to work through us to reach the kids in our community.
- All volunteers must arrive between 6–6:10pm (some volunteer teams will be expected to arrive earlier). A free volunteer dinner is available each night starting at 5pm.
- There is a mandatory training session for ALL volunteers on Sunday, May 22 at 12:45–3pm. Make-up training sessions are on Thursday, June 2 at 6:30–8:30pm or Sunday, June 5 at 11:15 am.
- Volunteer child care is available for kids who are under 4 years old.
- Your team coordinator will be contacting you with more details. Please check your email for updates.
Volunteer Opportunities
Elementary/Preschool Crew Guide (Small Group Guide)
With a partner guide and engage with a small group of kids between the evening’s different activities.
Helping Hand Crew Guide
Partner one-on-one with a child to help them fully engage with the evening’s activities
Snack Team
Prepare and serve bagged snacks for the kids to pick up on their way home from camp each night.
Science Team
Use science and hands-on activities to connect the evening’s big idea and memory verse to everyday life.
Game Team
Use games to engage with kids through fun, teamwork, and friendship-building activities.
Registration Team
Create an inviting environment to welcome kids and connect them to a crew.
Bible Teacher Team
Connect the evening’s big idea to the truth in God’s word.
Volunteer Meals Team
Prepare and serve dinner for the volunteers before camp.
Choreography Team
Encourage the kids to sing and praise God using motions.
Decorations Team
Plan and decorate the building to create a fun and inviting atmosphere that corresponds to this year’s theme.
We Need You
Donate Supplies to Camp Riverwood
From water balloons to chips to beach balls to cookies, we'll need your help collecting supplies for camp. Drop off all donations to the Camp Table in the Foyer by June 5 (unless otherwise noted).
