Made New

December 31, 2017

God loves to make things new. In fact, it is what he specializes in doing. It is all through Scripture – “his mercies are new every morning”; he is “doing a new thing”, making “all things new.” And this God wants to do something brand new in our lives. The question is will we embrace his process for us and in us? So what if God could make us brand new, and what if he intended for us to live a perpetual state of being renewed? At the beginning of a new year, let’s embrace the new thing that God is doing in us. Click here to listen to or download the mp3 of the sermon only.

Anticipation

December 24, 2017

On Christmas Eve or on Christmas day, we will be travelling around and find ourselves passing through a decorative front door. The front door adorned with a wreath and other decorations is the place marked by relationship, where new friendships begin and old ones pick up where they left off. All of us crave relationships with others, but we also crave a relationship “vertically” with God, and the great news is that the God of the Scriptures sent his one and only son to make possible a relationship that will transform our lives.  Click here to listen to or download the mp3 of the sermon only.

Love

December 17, 2017

Weddings are joyous occasions about love that we look forward to attending. Revelation 19 is about a wedding that you will not want to miss. The Lamb of God will be coming back for his bride, comprised of those individuals who have a relationship with Him. Click here to listen to or download the mp3 of the sermon only.

Joy

December 10, 2017

In Revelation 12, we get a glimpse of what’s been going on behind the scenes of history. A great conflict has been going on between God’s people and God’s enemy, Satan. But at Christmas, God invades enemy territory with the birth of Jesus who turns the tides of the battle. All of heaven shouts for joy because Jesus wins the battle against Satan. And because Jesus wins, we win too. Click here to listen to or download the mp3 of the sermon only.

Peace

December 3, 2017

Conflict is such a normal part of the human experience. We see it in virtually every area of our lives, yet our hearts yearn for peace.  Revelation 5 teaches us that ultimate peace will one day be the norm. Until then, we can have peace right now in a relationship with the Prince of Peace... Jesus Christ! Click here to listen to or download the mp3 of the sermon only.

Hope

November 26, 2017

The first week of Advent is hope. We are people who hope for something because ultimately something isn’t right. This is true about Christmas gifts that we hope for, but also at a much deeper level we hope for something that troubles us at the level of our soul. Revelation 1 makes it very clear that ultimately the brokenness of this world and of our own lives can be changed by Jesus Christ, the one in whom we place our hope, whose blood was shed so we could experience freedom! Baptism

November 19, 2017

Water is powerful! And throughout the Scriptures we see God using water to tell the story of life and death. It is no surprise then, that the ordinance of baptism also includes water. This ordinance of the church is a ritual that speaks to a deeper reality, a reality of what Jesus Christ has done in the lives of those who believe. New and Improved!

November 12, 2017

"New & Improved" resonates with people, if it didn't, advertisers would not use the phrase so often. In Revelation 21, we see that God himself promises a new heaven and a new earth. And while product improvements pale in comparison to a "new heaven and new earth," the believer has the confidence (and attending responsibility) of participating with God as he is in the process of "making all things new."
